Founders: 

Cyril "Sebastian" Sebban, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Cyril Sebban, a native of Paris, received his Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Paris XIII (Magistere d'Economie Industrielle). From an early age, Cyril was placed in the finest and most competitive of academic programs in all of France. (Baccalaureat C). He obtained his Bachelors Degree with Distinction in the fields of Mathematics, Economics and Computer Systems (DEUG EI2M). While an undergraduate, he was  simultaneously attending an exclusive CPA program within France's foremost MBA program (Preparation MSTCF, University of Paris Dauphine). In addition, he has been playing violin since the age of 5 and joined the Symphonic Orchestra of one of the most renowned music academies of France. Cyril was recruited and trained at the French headquarters of some of the country's top corporations: in sales at RANK XEROX, in finance at COGEMA and SPIE BATIGNOLLES, and in computer programming and applications at KODAK PATHE.

Cyril moved to the United States in 1989.  In 1990, he co-founded The Beverly Hills Tutoring Center, actualizing an entrepreneurial vision he had had since his own youth.  Cyril truly loves his work. He is able to meld his prestigious European education, his expertise in business and technology, and his passion for young people - creating a successful company that has serviced thousands of happy families year after year.

Julia Blum, Co-Founder and Vice President

Julia Blum was educated in the Beverly Hills School System. She then attended both Harvard and Yale Universities, graduating Cum Laude from Yale with Distinction. Following in the footsteps of her mother, a highly respected educator, Julia began teaching and tutoring elementary and high school students. She soon developed a series of teaching techniques for virtually every academic subject, at all grade levels. Then in 1990, she co-founded The Beverly Hills Tutoring Center, aiming to blend her understanding of the local community, her passion for teaching, and the unique educational methods she had created and honed over the years. 

As a mother of five, Julia now appreciates on an even more personal level the company's unwavering mission to address every student's unique needs. Julia continues to infuse the company with her impeccably high academic standards: she is currently enrolled in the Doctorate Program in Education at the prestigious University of Southern California, under the mentorship of the renowned Dr. Guilbert Hentschke.
